Messiah Lutheran Church is a place where there exists a sincere effort to understand and demonstrate the concept of Agape love, a love perfectly expressed in the singular sacrificial act described in John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (NIV)
It is this truth that sustains the MLC congregation and forms the basis of our gratitude, and is the motivation for our worship, fellowship and participation in an array of service and outreach ventures. These include our beloved Comfort Dog Ministry as well as several other noble programs that provide hope and assistance to people in the local community and beyond.
Messiah Lutheran Church is a member of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), a Christian denomination that confesses the historic, orthodox Christian faith built of “the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone” (Eph 2:20)
For the past 10 years our Pastor Rev. Dr. Jeremy Pekari has led Messiah Lutheran Church, presiding over the congregation’s faithful efforts to demonstrate the care and compassion of the Lord through prayer, worship, fellowship and service with the various programs that have touched lives within and beyond our church walls.
The desire to apprehend this Agape love of God and share it with others is what drives our congregation to continually pursue opportunities to share Christ's love:
“We love because He first loved us." (I John 4:19)
Members of MLC have taken an active role in support of and/or participation in the following service ventures:
